Moral of the story is DO NOT use a BBQ that has been running for 20 minutes as a brace when falling!!!!!!!

Man.. that brought back a painful memory. Was in the gulf on a 65 ft. patrol boat. Had just finished some training on a 20mm anti aircraft gun. When that old thing fires it spreads oil all over the place. Well, was picking up the shell casings and slipped in the oil. Threw my hand out to grab something, and of course, grabbed the barrel about two inches from the chamber.

The skin on my right hand stuck to the barrel and about half my palm peeled off. Funny.. the guy that was training me on the gun had just warned me that the barrel gets really frickin hot, maybe 30 minutes earlier..

Couldn't leave, either.. got my hand taped up and went back to work.. ow.
