I got him a new cage and a bunch of toys, a talking mirror and I put him up high. This morning he was a very good bird, my fingers are crossed. I also held him for the first time. He didn't like it but after a while he calmed down. This holding my hand in the cage shit is not working so from now on it's come here birdie I am petting you. hahaha Seems to work.

Just want to say thank you to everyone who gave me great advice. I will be using all this advice over the next several days and hopefully have a great bird when I am done!

The easiest way to get him to like you, is to always have a cracker for him. Cheese nips worked on my bird, he loved them.

You walk in, give them a cracker, talk nice to them... pretty soon they start to think that maybe you're ok.

I am trying to get to that phase. He doesn't want anything to do with anything in my hand at all. I have tried everything and he doesn't care what is in my hand he hates it and tries to bite. Hopefully this new cage and all the toys and stuff will calm him down enough to get to the point where I can hand feed him! Thank you so much!

I thought of that too but I hear they will sometimes pay attention to the other bird and start to ignore you and then I thought with my luck with birds the other bird would pick up his screaming and then I would have two screaming birds! :1orglaugh

that cage is huge. When I was, we had the fire place opened up and the damn thing flew into it. Poor thing got toasted lol
