You guys trust doing it online?
I like personally bringing to them I had mine done for $200 first time and he updates every three months for us for like $ |
I have 2.3 as well. Very good which with an external switch. If you know how to solder it should take you about 30 minutes if that to solder the points on the board. If you don't know how to solder then just get the matrix modchip that you screw on.
|
When I had my xbox I chipped it with the 2.3 lite. Easy as pie to do. Took me 30 mins.
|
yeah.. I did mine with a 2.1pro...
and I've done one with a 2.0... they're good chips... |
What do you gain by having a modified xbox?

Quote:
XBMC (And burnt games if you are into that.) Essentially for the cost of the xbox hardware (You can get old xboxes for ~100 bucks) and the mod chip, you have a network enabled media center with HDTV + AC3/DTS support, stream movies/mp3s/whatever from your pc to it, etc. If you are a complete homo you can even run GentooX on it and hax0r people using your boat anchor controller. |
2.3b lite plus.. solderless chip. Works great and has never come loose, even after transporting the system around. I think there are newer and better chips out there though.
