thats what i mean - i can read sheet music, but tablature is chinese to me ... if you spend the time learning tab, why not sheet? im not putting anyone down, i just dont see the difference ... and it doesnt really matter if you just want to jam tunes i guess ... so rock on :thumbsup

I can read both, but I prefer tabs, a lot faster than reading sheet. In my opinion anyway.

I can read both sheet music and tablature, but aside from accents and note lengths (which newer tab software allows you to add!) I find that tab is way easier to read and learn, ecspecially when it comes to reading chords.

and while your at it, get a cheap keyboard and learn some theory - it will improve your playing and knowledge of the fretboard bigtime ...

Tab is easier to read and learn, especially for guitar hacks like myself but it teaches you nothing about music :(
