Nearly One-Third of Users Click Spam Links
The report, based on a study of end-user email behavior and virus threats, found that 31 percent of users click on embedded links within spam emails, thereby letting spammers know their email accounts are live and, in many cases, loading their computers with spyware and viruses. Full Story...

I am surprised to hear that. I would think people would know better
|
I maybe clicked once on a spam link in the few years of using the web
I don't even open the spam emails |
I'm very surprised.....I don't know anybody that would click on it....
|
Thats good news. :disgust
|
Geez, I wonder why there are spammers...

It's too bad most surfers won't read that article, because they won't know how to find it. New computers ought to have stickers on them with all the warnings and advice they'll need.

Yes but chances are if it gets through most modern spam/virus/phishing apps then it might be a fairly new type of scam (or atleast a new spin on it)
The thing i'm worried about is all these mail servers with no filtering software, it's rediculous. Then again, anyone without anti-virus/spam filter and firewall on the home pc is just asking for trouble with windows weak exploits |
... I like it when people talk about reports that showed this and that percentage but don't give a link to their source ... I call bullshit.
