Do Amish people get speeding tickets

Could an Amish person get a speeding ticket if they were speeding, or do you have to be in a motorized vehicle to get one?

BRISK 03-24-2005 05:13 AM

You would probably need a horse that is cabaple of exceeding the speed limit

Maybe in a school zone?

swedguy 03-24-2005 05:19 AM

Are the Amish into drifting?

That's the big question!

Yeah, suppose that you get the horses or whatever it takes to actually speed. Say you have a team of Budweiser Clydesdales pulling one of those light Amish wagons downhill through a school zone, could they get a ticket if they were speeding?

Is there a difference between Budweiser Clydesdales and regular Clydesdales?

The Budweiser ones are more famous and better in the snow. :2 cents:

hjnet 03-24-2005 05:29 AM

If I had 6 wheels, would I be considered as a bus?

Some buses have more than 6 wheels, which makes me wonder what exactly are the credentials a vehicle must posess to be considered a bus.

There might be some stipulation like you have to have an engine or something. Like a boat doesn't have to be registered unless it has a motor over 10 horsepower, one of those types of laws. :2 cents:

At least in Sweden you can get a speeding ticket if you are speeding on a bike. I've seen it in the newspaper.
So theoretically you can get a speeding ticket with a horse in Sweden. But I'm not sure if it's the same in the US.
