Then you might wanna check Jimmy Woo, overhyped with a lot of Dutch celebs...you wont be able to just walk in though. You need to be uber cool...or ask Hova, i believe hes uber cool and knows those people.

Punk? Go to Korsakov, one of the most alternative places in Amsterdam. Goths, punks, you name it. Its 10 mins from the Leidseplein.

Paradiso is very nice on thursdays like Naughty said. Cool music and nice people. Not too trendy, not too alternative, just normal i guess. Lots of student chicks.

For live music go to Bourbon street after 11 or 12. 3 mins from Leidseplein. Just ask someone. Very nice place. Blues style.

Always nice to help people who ask for something and then they dont even read it.
