Dont buy designer clothes or other designer things on Ebay, most is fake (some good fakes). Just go to the store and buy it, and if you can't afford it in the store then you are not worthy!!!

maja 03-24-2005 01:47 PM

there's a TON of replica items and fakes (some really good ones too) being sold on ebay. as long as you know your merchandise and think that by looking at the pics it's real....

These are the words of a victim or a potential victim of fraud...
99% of designer goods that are for sale on ebay are fakes...

You're falling into the trap...
You're looking at the price and thinking your getting a great deal....

Step #1: How to get robbed

ok ok i see.. well last question, could it be possible that gucci stuff is cheaper in europe then in the US? (tariffs, dollar exchange rate?) because this seller seems to be from Germany

Most of the designer stuff on eBay is fake, but there are some authentic used items that are in good shape. You could send the seller an email asking where it was purchased & if they still have the receipt.

eBay is full of shit :2 cents: I won't buy it, anyway at 150 they are a little bit cheaper, go buy it in store instead :2 cents:

$300 at a store

davidd 03-24-2005 02:37 PM

99% of the shit is fake.

If you want the quality buy the real thing, if you want the name, but the fake. There is a huge difference. If it is not Italian is does not touch my body. They know how to make clothes that last and fit.... I could go on for days about Italian shoes.

There is nothing worse than cheap knock offs, spoiling a perfectly good wardrobe.

One final thought.

Check out the GMV (GianMarcoVenturi) wallets. They last forever and are made right (Change pouch {Euros), tons of slots for Credit Cards, etc etc.)

Always remember.... tri-folds are for the poor.

Most items are more expensive in Europe than they are in the US. They have higher taxes and higher import duties. The dollar exchange rate will work against you right now so it is not the exchange rate. When they never send it to you are you going to fly to Germany to get your money? Find someone local on eBay that will let you pick it up and take someone big with you when you go to pick it up! :thumbsup

I have bought several replica handbags on Ebay, and I love them.
If you think the wallet looks great, buy it!
The latest bag i bought was a Balenciaga, and everybody thinks it real!!!

I've bought a fair few things off of ebay. Bought a couple of Canterbury Rugby Jersies (Ireland International) and a couple of Umbro soccer jersies (Ireland International and Glasgow Celtic FC). I ended up getting the lot for about a third i would have paid for retail. Out of curiousity, i actually took my rugby jersies down to the local canterbury store to make sure they were genuine, and i was told they were the real deal. Now, i'd hardly call someone who manufactures rugby jersies a fashion brand, but considering the price they go for and the fact that a lot of people in rugby playing nations actually buy them, they'd be the perfect candidate for knockoffs. So there you go. You can get legit bargains on eBay.

i dont think i will lose the money, because this seller is with square trade, so i can always file a claim with them if anything, and this item is covered for up to $550 at square trade

the only thing im worried about right now is if it isnt original and is a replica

tungsten 03-24-2005 06:48 PM

they also mention:
the Gucci serial number is in the leather. Comes with Gucci authenticity/controllato card.

they also have returns.. and absolute worst case scenario, i do a chargeback..

i got no problem with your checkbook holder, i like to buy nice things because they last with me.. i had my last wallet for at least 6 years, i think maybe 8 years

xclusive 03-24-2005 11:16 PM

Just go to the store so you can handle it and know it's real. $300 is not a bad deal for something that will last you for years
