The Debunking of The Davinci Code

So I am watching a commercial for Party Poker advertize itself as the biggest Online Poker school and when it ends History Television resumes airing a program hosted by Tony Robinson that rips apart Dan Brown's The Davinci Code.

has anyone seen this before?

tedwinters 03-23-2005 09:01 PM

Yeah, I saw it... it was okay... some neat ideas...
but, I never thought of the davinci code as more than a somewhat entertaining (yet poorly written) book to begin with...
and I couldn't care less if it was true :)

I dunno, but I am going to do what it takes to prove that The Cat in the Hat didn't have a valid drivers license to drive that vaccuum car.

Seems to have touched a nerve with the church tho eh? They got their panties all up in a bunch over a book of fiction that never claimed to be pure fact. Infact, if I am not mistaken, the only thing it claims to be fact were rituals and descriptions of different landmarks and paintings.

Matt_WildCash 03-23-2005 11:44 PM

Well i'm not sure what parts of it are fact and fiction. Some things are certainly fact. Like the pagan merging into the Church. This weekend is Easter Sunday, Church people going off to Celebrate a Pagan Fertility festivial of Ester the God of Fertility and the god Ester's Symbols? Eggs & Bunny rabits.

Same with Christmas and most others all based on Pagan festivials all Pagan stuff merged into the Church so it could become more powerful and bring everyone in. It sure worked they have a lot of power now.

What gets me is that so many people say it's a badly written book, yet it's practically the biggest best seller ever written. What's that all about?

biggeset seller cause of hype :)
doesn't mean it's good.. heheh

it IS entertaining.. but, poorly written.. and if you read his other stuff, you'll notice that ALL his characters are generic.. different names, same characters...

Why would a group of people who worship a man that lives in the sky concern themselves with fiction?

Don't forget invisible. And he loves you, but he let Americans die in 9/11. Well, not actually die, but move onto the 'afterlife'. Oh and don't forget he let that dude in Florida rape that little girl... but he loves you. (and he's invisible)

I don't know a lot about the Da Vinci code but that documentary was complete horseshit. It looked like it was produced by the Church or something.
