Why gay guys need their own lockerrooms at the gym...

I walked into the lockerroom last night after a workout. As most guys do, I proceeded to shower, walk back to my locker in a towel and change. I started feeling some eyes on me and sure enough, there were 2 guys looking in my direction while they were changing. I decided to turn around and finish getting dressed. I was uncomfortable, but being an ex-athlete, I know that things like this are not uncommon. A couple minutes later I heard another guy walk in and a couple voices say "Mmmm... I'd love to see the package on him!". I decided not to turn around at this point, but I heard a loud thud, and a head smack on a bench.

At this point I turned around to see one of the guys knocked out in a pool of blood. The other gay guy looked stunned as the angry guy just walked away, went back to his locker and changed.

I'm not a gay hater, and I'm sure the guy got in some legal trouble, but I felt a bit violated myself, so I can only imagine what that guy felt like. Sure they were in there getting ready to work out, but they could have kept their eyes and their comments to themselves. It's a lockerroom, not a strip club.

If a gay guy is allowed in a mens lockerroom, why aren't straight guys allowed in the womens lockerroom? Same principle, right? I feel bad for those involved, but it did get me thinking about this question...

TheSenator 03-23-2005 04:17 PM

I think that lesbians should use the guys' locker room.

Sly 03-23-2005 04:19 PM

sherm if you weren't so damn sexy this would never be an issue.

detoxed 03-23-2005 04:23 PM

Well what about guys who arent sure if they are gay or not? Or guys who are gay but no one knows? What do they do? What about chicks that are gay in the girls locker room? Do they get to go to the guys locker room?

chronic avenger 03-23-2005 04:25 PM

The point is that a lockerroom shouldn't be a place for anything sexual.. It's a place to shower and change before leaving the gym (or get ready before a workout).

Seperating would be sexual discrimination (and a form of segregation), but when a person turns a lockerroom into a strip club, it's now entering sexual harassment.

The problem with harassment is that when you have guys with roid rage mixing with homosexuals with a wandering eye, it's a recepie for disaster. Some guys would rather handle issues outside of a courtroom.

Fuck that I vote for unisex lockers!!!!

I would be at the gym religiously daily!!!

evildick 03-23-2005 04:40 PM

Maybe they were researchers doing a study comparing the size of male penises. It would explain why they wanted to see your wangs so badly.

Poor Sherm, but that is kinda funny or ironic. That you hear a thud and someone did what probably crossed your mind. Heck its enough to have a Pecker Checker next to you at a public urinal, but a private gym thats not right. They have a right to be there if its like the Army don't ask don't tell.

Illicit 03-23-2005 05:42 PM

Ever see the movie The Way of the Gun?

mardigras 03-23-2005 05:50 PM

How about a separate lockerroom for those with a hangup about being looked at? If a guy looks at your ass, big deal, feel flattered. If he makes a move on you that's another story.

Sounds like a hot fantasy to me.... Im buying fiction at $20 a piece, how many of these can you do?

cayne 03-23-2005 06:08 PM

crzay story. the guy was really a "gay-hater". but I agree with you. Once a gay guy looked for 1-2 mins through the window of the sauna...some are really stupid.

Nice way to take that comment out of context. When did I ever say that I am homophobic? I get uncomfortable when anybody looks at me like that. Especially if I'm not wearing anything.

Stop trying to be a badass.

I wasn't attacking you.
I said that homos are pretty quick to call you a fag yourself if you say that you feel uneasy about them.

I made a post a few days ago, and the fags started coming out of the woodwork, calling me a repressed homo:

Thanks for clarifying. :thumbsup

I've seen you attack people on here, but never myself. I found it kind of odd! That repressed homo stuff is crap anyways. Either you like 1 sex or another....and some like both... But if a specific sex doesn't turn you on, than you must not be into that sex.

I usually do unless I swim or run. I only live 5 minutes away so I can deal with being uncomfortable for a few minutes. However, if I'm sweaty or drenched in chlorine, I need to rinse off. I guess I got used to showering in lockerrooms since it was the only place we could shower before traveling to the next tournament.

Do any of the females follow your funky ass home? :glugglug

Ron Bennett 03-23-2005 07:07 PM

Private changing rooms and showers solves the problem - not that common, but some fitness clubs have moved in that direction; colleges have too in new dorm construction - built more like apartments now with each room having its own shower, etc.

Why not just feel flattered by a few looks from the "fagatrons"?

Im sure the "females" you stare at are very flattered by the constant oggling.... :thumbsup

Babagirls 03-23-2005 07:27 PM

okay, im bisexual but i dont go into the ladies locker room making comments either, so that guy had it coming to him.
its just plain old fashioned manners; you dont stare at people when they are getting dressed in a public bathroom, you dont make rude/sexual comments to strangers, etc etc

Agreed..I've heard STRAIGHT guys make the same comment to other guys (jokingly..or said in a way some times to make the other WONDER if he is joking or not).

And what do you do when a guy harmlessly looks at your package..because it's there!? It happens..Get a good comeback line like: "Hey, no wonder you are so interested in mine seeing how puny yours is!"..that should shut them up! :)
