Gov. Jeb Bush To The Rescue!
Wow!
Gov. Jeb Bush and the state's social services agency filed a petition in state court to take custody of Schiavo and, presumably, reconnect her feeding tube. It cites new allegations of neglect and challenges Schiavo's diagnosis as being in a persistent vegetative state. The request is based on the opinion of a neurologist working for the state who observed Schiavo at her bedside but did not conduct an examination of her. |
anything to prolong the inevitable.
|
I hope the judge slaps them.
|
stupid, if she couldnt afford it the tube would have been pulled long ago

Lee,
for one they aren't divorced. and the 1 mill. settlement they got yrs ago for malpractice is all but gone. Went on her care, attourney's fee's, etc. His lawyers haven't been paid in 3 yrs. Also, every cent of the 1 mill had to be approved by a judge to spend it :) |

It the US citizens that make this country look stupid for electing the asshat in the first place ;) http://www.montereyherald.com/mld/mo...n/11212121.htm Thats a news link where they estimate the cost of her care to be in the region of $800k = $1.1 Million :) I missed the period in my post above where it read $11 Million, my apologies :) Regards, Lee |
I am Sorry , but she should be allowed to die in peace, and as painlessly as possible. Before my mother passed away a few years ago, she had left instructions that she did not want to be kept artificially alive. Low and behold she had a stroke in the hosp and died , but she was resucitated against instructions. She was kept alive for about 2 weeks after on life support, until her organs gave out. I did ask the doctor and the nurses about the feeding etc. because we did not want her starving to death. They said food did not make a big diff at point, that a patient can survive about 2 weeks without eating, and they do not feel the hunger. She was hydrated and kept on morphine to keep the pain down........Let me tell you, it is not a very pleasant experience............

I'm astonished. You will be too. Just saw these videos for the first time.

Watch Video 1. http://web.tampabay.rr.com/ccb/videos/Terri_Swab.rm Claim: Her mind can not respond to anything spoken to her. Really? Watch Video 2. http://web.tampabay.rr.com/ccb/videos/Terri_Big_Eyes.rm Claim: She can no longer think and understand anything. Really? Watch Video 3. http://web.tampabay.rr.com/ccb/videos/balloon.rm |

Let nature decide if she is to live or die.
Pull the plug and we'll find out one way or the other :2 cents: Regards, Lee |

What an absolute circus this issue is
|
The Judge blocked the Governor and is bloking law enforcement for entering the the build.
The written law has won and will continue to win. I hate that shes going to die, but I am happy that the system works. |

my god, talk about a LIFE. those videos only make me feel stronger about my belief that they need to let nature take its course and let her die. would you want to live like that for 15+ years? no, and she didn't/doesn't want to either. this isn't about how her parents feel, it's about how she felt, and how anyone else would feel under those circumstances. tell me one person who would want to live in such a terrible existence for 15+ years. |

Its different, but the judge was aware of Jebs plan to involve Family Services that would take custody of Terris body and move it to a Government Hospital to re-insert the tube. The Judge blocked that action and bared law inforcment and any other party to remove her body from the Hospice. Its not on CNN right now, but was on the updates. Watch and see. |

I belive letting her go is the best choice:
Soppose that she really isn't vegative: xhat does she feel, how does she feel? Just imagne to have an itchy toe and you can't reach it or even express you discomfort. Imagine how helpless she could feel. Even if she isn't in any discomfort I believe it's better to letter her go peacefully than even take the risk that she ever suffers. Dead people don't suffer that's something most people agree on, right? What I don't agree on is letting her die by starvation. Even a death sentenced criminal get's a better deathstruggle. Let her goe in the shortest way and the way we know 100% sure about that it isn't painfull. |
