New Site (Pricing Question)

So I'm putting the final touches on LaceyLace.com (cleaning up / improving the tour and adding promo content) and some people have mentioned that the price of $19.95 ($14.95 rebill) at 50% rev share is not going to cut it. The idea was to keep the price low to attract a LOT of initial customers and then in the next month when more content is added and the site is recieving a steady amount of hits to increase the price.

Is this a good idea? Should I charge more?

Please shine some light on this issue, I'd like to keep my price competitive, keep affiliates happy and still make a profit after paying my costs.

like I said $6 doesnt make any aff happy. If you got a few k images bump it to $24,95 at least recurring as well. And 60%.

It is recurring right now. :) Would you suggest $24.95 / $19.95 as a good introductory price structure?

its recurring $14,95 thats $6 net. Dont do a lower recurring price, it makes ppl believe youre not gonna update that often etc.

I guess as a businessman it just doesn't make sense to pay the full access price every time, it doesn't really give anyone incentive to stay. Also, if you divide the price per picture you really get screwed with same price rebills from a customer standpoint. :disgust

i tried different prices on my site ... 24,95 initial and 9.95 recurring ...
forget about a lower rebilling price ... if someone wants to cancel - he cancels because he didnīt like your site , even the recurring price is 3 dollars :2 cents:

btw .. where are the FHGs for panties4free.com ? :winkwink:

LaceyLace 03-23-2005 11:24 AM

Hahaha alright well 24.95 recurring it is..... if anyone has a word edgewise all :2 cents: is appreciated.

$6/sale for affiliates? FUCK THAT

Strife 03-23-2005 11:28 AM

As I posted in your other thread. I think $19.95 rebilling at the same price is a decent price to charge for a non-nude site. You might consider also provide customers with a multi-month membership discount price. $49.95 for 3 month for instance. :2 cents:

Maybe increase affiliate payout to 60% for volume sign ups

I like the idea of a discount for upfront money - that way you can pull in bigger bucks at the beginning and you've got them locked in.

New pricing structure:

24.95 30 day rebill
44.95 60 day rebill
59.95 90 day rebill

I might add a special 19.95 (24.95 30 day rebill) option for the first week to hook em with the discount... what do you guys think? Special "first week" discount then it kicks back to the regular price... ?

Johny Traffic 03-23-2005 11:56 AM

people dont join a site because of the price, they dont stay members because of the price. They join because they want to wank over you and stay because they want to wank over you again. Fucking around with $5 here and there wont get you one extra new member or one extra rebill.

Set the price at $29.95 Rebill
and $89.95 for 6 months no rebill.

If they are worried about rebills thell take the $89,95
