Exclusive models versus Exclusive shoot
 

Does a popular model who has been on many sites convert as well as an exclusive model that has never been on other sites as long as her shoot/set is exclusive?

For example, on some sites I see models that I've seen before, but the site has exclusive sets of her that nobody else has. If her name is well known and 'branded' it would still sell well, right? Other sites have models I've never seen before so they would probably sell well too, right?

It depends on many factors, just curious about your thoughts.

an exclusive model is better ......... BUT some of these girls become well known and if you have exclusive content of them the surfer hasn't seen before he'll join up to see it, he's a fan of the girl. ATK and Karups have zero exclusive models but tons of exclusive content - formula works for them and alot of others who follow the same formula. almost impossible to have a site that updates once a week with a new model to have all exclusive models - no i'm wrong, not almost, it is impossible.

I would prefer to shoot fucking hot firstimer instead of porn star.The most of famouse girls are running thier official sites (+ lot of them are thinking about that now - I have lot of requests from our models) so the surfers know "this is just that dirty bitch fucking for money everywhere"

exclusive models are hard to find and very expensive. imagine - you have to pay them what they would earn if they worked for others as well. at least if the girl is not completely retarded. in my theory exclusive sets work - see ATK or Karups - cause I think people keep searching for stuff of girls they like and are willing to sign up to other sites that have exclusive content of those girls and not the same sets. :2 cents:

I shooted Silvia Saint and the production day costed me like 4000 USD - the result was 5 top noch solo photosets - but really good shit like this.
I am sure you can sell this shit to mags for 1200 + USD

luxury location
styling
dressing (those shoes are Prada and underwear is Nina Ricci)
+ some spends for food , traveling and shit like this

exclusive models are nice, but damn expensive, imho exlcusive pics are cool too :)

what i mean is: a day like that is ok for me when i have the customers to sell those sets exclusively to them and they pay a good price. no problem. but i don't think that Silvia Saint works exclusively just for you - cause maybe she can work 10 or 15 days a month for prices like that - and i'm not sure if only one producer could guarantee her that amount of work everytime. or let me say it that way: make a solo site with her and guarantee her she would have to do nothing else - how much $$$ would you have to spend every month and would you be able to get that money back from your potential members?

... to clarify, you're technically incorrect in saying that we don't have exclusive models. We have tons of them, but not because we own the rights to any. It's a fine line, semantically, but to say that neither us or Karups have models that are TRUE amateurs, girls next door, gorgeous and many times hotter than some of the girls that get snatched up by other photographers and end up elsewhere isn't true. We've got photographers who do not shoot for anybody else (period) and I can say with fair certainty that some of their models work with no one else.

it definatley helps to have a girl that you have her only shoot of. But most girls go on to do other things. Personally i dont like seeing the same models all over unless i got her first scene :)

It really depends on what you want. If you are huge like ALScan or ATK you can shoot popular models and also newbies. One great example is Ember. She has been all over the place since 2000, but no matter what her stuff still sells.
