Can anyone say "scrubbing"? (funny yet disurbing email)
This is a an email I go from someone that is dying to join one of our sites. Surfers are more savy than you think they are and this is a sad testimonial to the state of 3rd party billing:
From: Polo [mailto:*****[email protected]] Sent: Tuesday, March 22, 2005 8:36 PM To: [email protected] Subject: I got a "Q" for you... ... do you know of any sites that accepts debit cards (by Mastercard or Visa) besides the Sales/Billing companies like Paynet.com and CCbill.com? I keep getting declined by these bastards and I have more than enough money on my card. It's not my issuing bank, because they told me that my card was working properly. I even bought some books online and didn't have any trouble. These two companies are going to lose some serious business if they don't cut some slack to people who either don't want credit cards but is paying actual money (Like the checking account). Let me know something. -Marco |
What is so disturbing?
Hook em up with a freee pass
yea, that sucks - :Oh crap
send em to spacash :)
or let them know about duocash , chances are their card is blacklisted |
That's so disturbing I'm not going to sleep tonight. :disgust
Seriously, why is that so disturbing? Am I missing something? |
I bet that is a UK surfer using a Visa Electron and thinking it will go through with those billing companies. You need to add www.nochex.com for Visa Electron to work.
Damn, that sucks.
scrub a dub dub show us your titties!
ccbill loves to scrub, ive tried using my chase visa card which has a good limit, $0 due and ccbill always declines me. I enter everything right even make sure that my ip says that i am in the correct city and i still get nowhere
Not sure what's disturbing? My guess is that it's issued on a non-US bank and the BIN is coded to score poorly against a high risk recurring transaction.
It really should be scored that way, imo. One of the worst things to happen to conversion ratios is pre-paid cards. You can't make a guy put $30 bucks on his card in order to ram his re-bill through, that's one of the reasons why you don't see ePassporte as a viable alternative to Mastercard or Visa on adult sites. Amex might be able to get away with their crazy replenishment scheme on their pre-paid cards, but they are a closed loop transaction system, they don't have to please the banks that are part of their association. ----------------------------------- And on another note, your surfer knows the names (basically) of the two remaining third party billers? Sounds like a habitual canceller or chargeback to me, most surfers aren't really that bright. |
Send him to some beasty porn..that will teach them
Wts........
that really sucks if a standard visa debit card didn't go through.

Trust me on his one. Email him and ask him if it is a Visa Electron. I bet he says yes.
Some people think that Visa Electrons can be used like normal Visa cards but they cant. |
ccbill & paycom both take checks. why dont they just use that?
that's not very disturbing
