Is the U.S.A a Third World Country ? Discuss
I dont think it is ,but without free health care....More daily news of shootings, major stars or biz people in court or jail..such as Michael Jackson,Robert Blake...Martha wearing her ankle braclet to track her .........More and more laws/rules controlling the online porn biz ....blah blah..
Is europe looking like a more attractive and stable place to live and do biz .....or is the U.S.A. THE BEST PLACE TO BE . What country do you think is the best country to live in,and to also be able to operate a XXX online biz and why. Discuss? |
Yes, redirect all your U.S. traffic to me. It is shit traffic. The U.S. is a third world country. They barely have anything. Some people still dont have camera's on their phones in the U.S.

I don't think you'll find anyone who thinks that about the US.
However, if you look at the "true" definition of a third world country, Canada and Australia would definitely fall into that category. |
None of the things you mentioned would indicate the US is a 3rd world country.
The US is pretty much the very definition of a first world country so there is nothing to discuss. |
Another USA rocks/sucks thread? pleeeez...

TORTOISE......we stole your baseball team......we cant be a third world country. :1orglaugh

But... there is a lot of unreality and living at a level which is sure not sustainable when manufacting and "real wealth generation" is on the decline. The idea that bread needs to be buttered on both sides can't last. Example, - it is OK to buy cheap produce from other countries and, on a personal level, saves consumers money. But, the overall effect is a massive net trade deficit and substantial funds owing to other countries and, on the flip side, unemployment back home. In 2002 the US Treasury produced the most extensive report ever on the economy and this, tho published, was hidden :-) The bottom line on that report was that "94% of all homes and assets" were needed to cover all national debt and other trade inbalances. It also advised an immediate tax increase to around 55% - kinda harsh!! :-) Since 2002, this has obviously got worse.... and therein lies many dangers of the concept of a "third world country". Till there is "real wealth generation" - and this sure ain't happening now - there are dangers. This scenario does not just apply to the US - it also applies to other countries - especially those with high tax regimes (tho that is relative). The created bubble can burst. |
US is a land of opportunity

This wasnt a U.S.A bashing thread more of a question is the U.S.A. the best place to live and operate a online xxx biz ,if not what country would best fit the needs of an online xxx operator regarding ,general living costs, quality of life, health care, citizens in general, and of course its attitude to our business. :pimp

Well there is no love between me and the united states. Several years of living there has pretty much made me hope that major earthquake makes the entire nation become the next atlantis. But as a southener friend once said to me. I have to give the devil his due. Doing business in the states is easy compared to most other nations. I'm Canadienne and have lived in both english and french Canada, USA, Spain, England and now France. Canada is a close second but conservative attitudes toward sex can make it difficult to commence a porn industry. About the only place to try is Montreal and that is mainly because companies like redlight go up there on a regular basis. As for Europe.... Well the laws can be very lax in regards to obscenity and the people are pretty open to weird sex things. But for the most part you are dealing with what I call a swinger mindset. IE: "Oh we are doing nasty sex things and we don't want anyone to know." And this carries over to the video side. Talent can be more of a pain in the ass here then you can imagine. Now I know I said the laws can be lax but the regulations for any business are fucking hell. Let me explain and I'll tell you about what I'm dealing with in France. Paperwork.... Lord there is no end to it! Even today I went to the Intermarch supermarket and asked for a club card. On it they wanted to know my social security number, my work address, my boss, the names of my parents, address, how long I lived there.... etc etc It was 3 pages long! And this was just so I could get 0.20 euro off on eggs. What makes it worse is this permiates every aspect of their lives and the french simply shrug their shoulders and accept it. Rules...... The french are some serious "IN THE BOX" thinkers with the manners of a little old lady. I was trying out perfume at the same supermarket and the supermarket BoUnCeR had to come over and give me a speach about only spraying it on my wrist not my neck. I looked at the guy like he was on crack but this sort of behaviour is very normal. (yes they have bouncers in supermarkets in france...some guy, normally black, that props up the walls and tells you off if you come in through the out door or pick up an item and don't put it back in it's place.) Lack of enthusiasm..... Man no where is this more evident then the waiting in lines you have to do. Lines... lines... and more forking lines. I'm serious the french make the line at the Towering Inferno ride of Disney world on July 04 look short. But what makes this matter worse is people will suddenly get up from their post, go to the bathroom, have a smoke break, etc and then come back 20 min. later. And they expect you to wait for them! God in any North American business they would be Fired but I don't think that happens here. (World's best job security.. the boss can't be bothered to fill out the paperwork.) The language..... Ok I think this is purely a French phenom of France. I am French and my maternal language is French. But I am Quebecois and not even of Montreal or Quebec city. My dialect is strange but it is still french. Well in France if you do not say it ExAcTlY as they expect it said, then they assume you are english and switch to that language. They mock, laugh and poke fun out of a difference in the language and demand that you stop speaking french. They can be far more annoying than a group of drunk americans hearing a Canadian say "about." And forget about using such things as sarcasim or inuendo... they just don't get it. Hell they even do it to themself. I have watched two frenchmen, one from paris and one from Le Havre, and they started a conversation... Assumed each other was not speaking it correctly and switched to english. Knowing both of these gentlemen I pointed out they were both frenchmen and both it were reluctant to believe me. (It took about 3-4 min. for me to convince them.) Fear of Risk...... Ok, this is the most annoying trait of a non-capitalist country. France seems more so because they have a saying here, "for to be happy it is necessary to hide." Everyone says finding an apartment in France is difficult but it isn't. Getting a french person to rent you a vacant apartment is next to impossible. I can understand doing a credit check but surprisingly there really isn't a credit reporting agency here. Instead what the french do is just crazy. The standard person looking to rent an apartment will have to. 1. Pay 3 months rent security plus 1st months. So if you are renting a place for 1,000 euro you need to cough up 4,000 euro just to move in. 2. Provide proof of work with pay slips. 3. Provide a co-signer I said to a person, I'll just pay you for the entire year in advance and had a person willing to sublet his place to me on those terms. Because my bank is in Canada I offered to give him cash... "Wrong move." The man went ghostly white and refused to rent me the place. His fear... not sure but I think he thought I was using black money. It is a sad story but in France they are scared of cash and no one will kiss your ass for it... regardless of how much you have or are giving away. So my solution for you..... 1. Live in either Canada or America. 2. Film your porn in some contry like the Czech. 3. Register a foriegn company outside of North American laws and grasp. A place like Russia is good. 4. Get an English bank account and deposit you money there. In the end you will have less headaches. |

(a) There is no need to pay the taxes of high tax regime countries. There are many countries where taxes are very low or non-existant. (b) Where you are based may also not be the place the actual biz is located - ie you can live in..eg Belize, but have corps in the Caribbean, EU or anywhere you like. (c) For living.. again it's personal preferences... but many "third world countries" offer much in lifestyle and have healthcare and education systems equal to or better than the US or EU. (d) The majority of "paradise countries" don't have any problem with online businesses - they don't care :-) |

The united nations is nothing more than an American apology for dropping the bomb in world war 2. It has no power to enforce rule or jurisdiction over it's member states. |
