Has any of you used adbrite?
 

I have several campaigns running now and my traffic is far far off of what i should get.
Is anybody doing better with any of their affiliates sites?

Nothing really...i did some test campaings. Im happy i didnt buy for 500 bucks right away...

I mailed support asking them to take a look at my ad and see if they had any suggestions...well they were not interested at all.

adbrite will get better.

I have used them to advertise AAC on some of the funny video sites on their network. ROI was negative.

Was the traffic bad or did you get way less clicks than what was given as an average?

I like how the site is set up.

I did a few small tests with a negative ROI. I am not giving up yet though.

1 of the test campaigns i did, a 1 day test, shouldve given me around 500 hits...i got 70.
Another one, with an average of 1000 hits looks like it will give me no more than 500 hits. Those 500 hits are gonna cost me 100 bucks and so far its very unproductive traffic.
And its not like theyre cheap or anything, The traffic of most sites is pretty pricey.

I would go to the sites you want to advertise on and ask them for a deal

I have it on one of my sites, and it does pretty well for the folks buying ads, as I have several repeat customers....so they must be pleased with their return.

I think their traffic will work better for mainstream or tangible goods. It also is a refection of their prices. mainstream charges much more for ads.

I run the ads on spankingblog.com and a few others. Sponsors in my niches seem to like the traffic and renew faithfully. Out-of-niche sponsors rarely buy twice (except for dating sites, which renew sometimes.)

Adbrite (used to be MarketBanker, now is branded AVNads) has had real crappy customer service in the past, although they are improving. Used to be the only way to contact them was a web form that they ignored. Now they have a phone number and I've been in touch with a real customer service person.

Generally speaking, I'd say that on my blogs, an advertiser who contacted me directly could get a better deal. Perhaps not cheaper, but their links would be better integrated into my site and would pass page rank as well as traffic.

It's been hit or miss for me
I've found most of the voting sites are total shit traffic...I've had better luck with dating ads on the adult oriented sites

Ya thats what kinda pisses me off...i know they give an average but the actual clicks are SO fucking far off.

yeh I know what you mean, I have done totally different ad types and none of them come close. Makes you wonder which ads actually pull in twice the average to get that number :disgust

oh and the reps are real gems too, I had a friend who asked them to do a run of the network campaign for $500 and he was mailed back with the answer that that's hardly worth their time and if he wanted to invest a bit more lol

Same experience. CTR was WAY below that stated. Not sure if I am a noob but it did not work out for me.

I haven't used it. I've seen it on several high profile blog sites, might look into it further
