isn't it only gray if the URL is banned?

I asked the same question a few days ago and no the toolbar won't help. You best option is archive.org afaik.

Meaning if googlebot doesn't visit you although it should, and you see on archive.org the domain was used by someone else, then it probably IS banned.

i heard the same thing....sucks for me if it is.

it could just have never been listed on google.

i'm lost, are those links to sites like acrhive.org or something i type in google with the domain?

type "site:domain.com" without the quotes into a google search. if any pages on that domain have a google listing it will show up.

If you use http://www.whois.sc/ you can check whether the domain has been registered before

If so, better to avoid it.
