will the "legend" of Lord of the Rings be bigger than Star Wars?
 

Put in your opinions as to if you think Lord of the Rings can replace Star Wars as the movie for our generation, after the other 2 movies come out. Do you think it can overtake Star wars? Im not talking just money wise...

It's like comparing apples and oranges.

Star wars will ALWAYS be the sgag of ourr generation - it's the trilogy that pioneered all the SPFX we now take for granted.

it has the whole Greek Mythos storyline which is unbeatable - all throughout history that style of story has remained popular.

LOTR is probably great - i haven't seen it yet - but it's a story that has already been around for a long time and everyone has their own ideas and expectations built up in their own minds about how it should be.

Unlike Star wars which was just delievered to us straight via the screen therefore we accepted it for what it was.

Wait till I see it - then i'll tel you fo rsure - but I am 99.99999'% suree that NOTHING can beat Star Wars

has anyone seen the new star wars trailors? I personally think that george lucas has actually gone mad now...first, the title of the movie..."attack of the clones"
it sounds like a freaking saturday morning cartoon
and now, from the trailors ive seen(2 of them), he is going way too far into the love story of luke and the girl...
i mean i know its a big part of how star wars started, but its just getting too mushy.
I personally am lookin foreward more to the next lord of the ring movie than i am the next star wars movie.
just too much lovin and not enough action(the other kind)in the next one, from what ive seen so far...i know its only trailors, but still...
lord of the rings on the other hand, saw it today, and the "lovin" was perfectly done... basically, there wasent a whole lot of it, which is how it should be, in these kind of movies
