Goes to show that even at the higher limits there is still the table full of wankers who will take your cash drawing to the river. Limit is murder online, I'll only play in real life now.

What's his screen name? :winkwink:
|
That's why I avoid online play..it's too damn frustrating
|
damn....how much did you lose on that hand?
|
aggressive players always win when playing online

Make him pay a lot for the privelege of catching that river.

I truly don't believe it's just "agressive" players. And sure you can make THAT GUY pay in the future, but read down and I'll explain my theory about online poker, and I have posted it before.
At every table there are 3 people who are really on their game, 2 people eager to learn, and 5 people that basically don't know or don't care. Either in it for a thrill and laughs or don't know any better. That having been said, for every hand, probably 3 of these yahoos will see the flop. From then on, at least ONE of them is going to chase something to the river, no matter how you bet. Now of course statistically this is a bad way to play poker, but what make up for this and then some is that there is an unlimited supply of these "awful" players to play. That means even if one guy catches a lucky hand with you and then busts out the next dozen hands, the 3-4 other people at the table chasing hands or just raising calling wildly will simply fall into the slot he left. So in real life you DO make people pay to chase flushes. You make them pay to chase the straights. But it's HARD in online. Because unlike in real life where there is ususally only 1 real meathead playing and if there ARE more they bust out and never return - or you can milk them over and over knowing their play style - online is different. Endless streams of random named people who you can NEVER follow and are always chasing hands which will screw you. And as he said, even at the super high limit tables, they still exist. Sure there are less of them, but they're still there. Textbook poker will still earn you money in the long run, even in Online. but for me, Online produces way too many swings, and they're too big. I can't handle getting busted out by these guys. So I stick to local tables now. |
Sorry man I misread my hand and thought I had pocket 2s :winkwink:

$100/200 online play...Better play that in the casino, online you will get screwed by unreal flops or house bots anyway.
|
That sucks.
|
Im fucking pissed now im playing and just got a set with 22 - someone rivered a fucking fluish from
GUT FLUSH! wtf is wrong wwith them Im down 3200 right now shit |
yeah im about to go to local casino
|
There are alot of people who make a living at online poker but I don't see how.
I CRUSH the local low limit games (3/6, 4/8, 6/12) but I get creamed by the river rats online in 3/6 and lower. AA is at least a 4 to 1 favorite heads up....but in a 3-4 way pot it only wins 1/3rd of the time. With half or more of the table seeing every flop, you're never going to be a prohibitive favorite with any starting hand. I haven't quite figured out a strategy to crack the loose-as-hell online games where there's a miracle river every other hand......maybe I should just play like a fish. |
Yeah my cousins and my friends play online poker. But alot of newcomers with money have been playing higher limits..and just call with bullshit. And online it just happens...
Butoverall if you add my 3 friends and my 2 cousins , they are up over $700K combined... And I..myself right now is DOWN a SHITLOAD :) |
sorry to hear that. i love poker
|
that sucks big time
|
Poker bad but I love it so:)

Anyone live near Corona.. I got a great place to play against real people. Monthly tourny with about 40 to 60 players and Friday night games with 16 to 20... Blackjack also.
