Shoutcast Server?

Anyone have one of these set up? Can you tell me how to set it up? I'm looking to broadcast, and need a server to do it. :) thanks.

I've set one up myself, very simple, just need ssh and an open port pretty much.

Edit: The config is also pretty simple.

Typically on your server unless you have a really high speed connection at your house.

ICQ me 4930562 - I can detail you how to accomplish this

Oops sorry, you can broadcast from your computer via Winamp to your shoutcast server. If you're looking to broadcast to over 10 people or so it's best to host your shoutcast server on a dedicated server since it can feed out more bandwidth then your cable modem can. If it's just to broadcast to a few people shoutcast has a windows dedicated server program also, you run it seperate from winamp. Winamp also requires the DSP plugin, which you can get off shoutcast's website. Hope this makes some sense to you, I'm not too good at explaining these things.

I have the plugins and the info for the server, just feel like a complete idiot 'cause I have no clue as to how to do this.

I was a shoutcast DJ waaaaay back in the day, so I thought I'd get back into it. :helpme
