Can't really say... but think this is a fair amount more and not just US companies. There are also cases back to the time of InterCept which have still not been settled. |

and they still will come out the other side because 'greed' and 'newbies' will always be around. Unfortunately there are webmasters I talk to who are just starting out in this business who seriously wanted to go with IBill before I warned them.
Then there are others that for some $$ will post in here later on that IBill is good and you can trust them again. Its a simple pattern that has gone on for the 9 years I have been around this industry. Good luck to everyone on the list |

Although the vast majority of lawyers won't entertain class actions on a contingency basis (which you are talking about) unless they believe they will win (and win big), they take all the risk and often have to lay out a lot of money in advance. The downside for complainants in - for example - cases against pharmaceutical companies, is not that the lawyers cream off too much in percentage terms, but that they settle for a sum which when divided around the thousands of people who might be involved, may not appear to pay individual claimants very much. In any case, although most class actions are fought on a contingency basis because it is usually good strategy to involve as many claimants as possible, they don't have to be. Smaller, richer groups, confident of the result, can pay hourly rates, the same as for any other action. |

Is there any way of becoming involved with any of these suits? I am still owed 30k and am currently talking with an attorney, but it might be better for me if I can be a part of one of these actions. |
If anyone who is currently owed $$ by Ibill is interested in combining resources, LMK.

I have come to the resolve that the money ibill owes me is just gone and, as someone else said, the satisfaction of seeing them suffer won't pay the mortgage.
However, if ibill were to get by with this and no executives held responsible in the case they file bankruptcy and close up shop, what kind of message does that send to the next struggling cc processor of adult businesses? I've talked to several webmasters who were taken for a tidy sum of money by other cc processors in recent years, although non nearly as big as Ibill. Hopefully, if all hell rains down on ibill and the executives held liable in the case of bankruptcy, then it should be an effective deterrent for this to happen again. Cheyenne |
