Well, one piece of advice I can give you on this subject is... never dangle your baby over the rail of a high balcony like that idiot Michael Jackson did. You'll never live it down if you do.

Best analogy I've heard for new parents is from Gallagher... He had a boat anchor on a chain, with a diaper wrapped around it:

Friends: "Hey, would you like to go out tonight?

Parents: "We'd love to but we can't (tosses out anchor)... we have a baby."

:winkwink:

You think he's kidding?? LOL We have almost 2 year old twins. I can't even remember the last time we went out and got smashed, or even remotely buzzed for that matter. Neither of us want to deal with them with a hang over. :1orglaugh

Kids are great ... when they've grown up and left home.

But even then they can come back to haunt you.

We have 10 between us - do we regret having any of them? Not for a split second.

But if you had asked us that back when they were growing up the answer might have been a lot different :)

How old are they and what is their financial situation?

They can be extremely annoying and time consuming, but it only takes that little I love you Dad, or the hug that makes it all worth wild, does'nt sound like much but it definatly is.

kids rock we got a 7 month old and still find plenty of time to go out, we have a huge family with grandparents on both sides that cant get enough time with our baby, so we are fortunate, our baby sleeps all night now 9pm to 7am daily. Its nowhere near as hard as I thought or most make it out to seem, nothing like listening to a marriage counselor thats never been married. 99% of gfy are still kids themselves. Its the greatest pleasure period.
