I'm sick of the situation with my ex girlfriend
 

it's all ups and downs between us.
I haven't gotten over her yet and it's been ages.

I'm just wasting my time, but I'm not ready to move on because I still love her. But it's going nowhere...

It will probably end up the way it did with my other long term relationship: One day I'll just wake up and do my things, then before I go to bed I'll realize that for the first time ever I didn't think of her all day. Then I'll know for sure I'm over her.

Take her for a deep sea fishing trip, make sure to take lots of pictures of you guys being happy together, then come back alone.

it's rough. i was with my ex for 9 years and we broke up about 3 years ago. even though i've dated and have had a new girlfriend, i still think about her everyday.

It was a major relief getting out of a 9 year relationship...

It can be a real bitch. some days all is well and you rarely think of her, then you get a few days in row where thats all thats in your head. And on those days nothing can be worse.

sometimes you just never get over someone. its been years now, and i *still* think about one of my ex's on a weekly basis. not because of the relationship, but because we were best friends before (and even after) the relationship, but eventually just went our seperate ways. sucks.

agreed. if i'm honest, i have to admit that i still think about my ex, while no more daily, at least once a week. my brother saw her the other day, and she said the same thing. except that (according to her), she hasn't even been able to go on a date since us breaking up. i don't know if i believe that, but the general message is that we both got completely fucked up over the end of things.

i'm finally having fun again, and i think in principle i'm over her. but i'm beginning to think there will always be this lingering feeling. even though i've never had that type of feeling last so long with any other long term gf's.

what you need to do is stop talking to them. even if they try to be friends with you its best to stay away.

its like stepping in hot water everytime you see them. it doesnt matter what was in the past, take what you thought was best and move on.

if you are getting a condo you have seriously nothing to worry about, if you have your shit together women will see this and it will eventually come around.

do yourself a favor now and fully move on, it may hurt at first but in the longrun it will be worth it, there was a reason you broke up, never forget that and only remember there is plenty of fish in the sea. :thumbsup
