Canada is investigating the deaths of 40 bald eagles found slaughtered near Vancouver in two separate incidents. The eagles' talons and primary flight feathers were cut off, indicating the birds were probably victims of poaching. Michele Norris talks with Colin Copland, a conservation officer with the Conservation Officers Service in British Columbia, Canada.

I thought you would be all for this since the eagle is the national bird of the United States, and you yourself being a staunch anti-American.

I love bald eagles. They are OUR mascots. Not your mascots. America should not be represented by Bald Eagles...

We already chop them down for you and have a 'free trade' taxation of 30% that you all pay, which the World Court already said was illegal and money is owed back to Canadians.. Bush of course announce he was going to spread that 30% among the USA lumber industry... He's doing a great job at making and leading world peace..

Personally, I couldn't kill the cute little rodents. Trees are much easier to sneak up on and chop down.

Maybe we could develop a secret program to train Canadian beavers to chop down all of the maple trees.

Irregardless whomevers mascot the Bald Eagle is, killing a bird of prey for it's feathers and talons is a shitty thing to do.
