affiliates question for you

as an affiliate would you like to recive an e-mail when you get a sale on a sponsor?

or you like to login and see the stats cause it's a good feeling when you login to danzabucks and see massive amounts of sales?

AdPatron 03-20-2005 12:43 AM

I enjoy daily email stats.

After Shock Media 03-20-2005 12:44 AM

Ok many will say send them an email.
Better bet is to offer statsremote as a reward. Assuming it will work with your program.
Then the various dweebs will say, nice spam.
Personally does not matter to me with your program. Nothing against you or your sites, just not my cup of tea.

xclusive 03-20-2005 12:44 AM

an email every 24 hours would be good

psyko514 03-20-2005 12:45 AM

i agree... offer a membership to statsremote after a certain amount of sales. i'd find that a lot more convenient.

Furious_Female 03-20-2005 12:45 AM

A few of my sponsors have emailed me when I got sales. It was kind of annoying deleting them all after awhile lol. I like the old F5 method :)

I received an email from Soul Cash yesterday because of a sale. Thought it was pretty cool. So yeh, its a nice extra feature.

i think it depends what kinda cut you wanna take in your profits and how much profit you make per sale.

a one year membership costs $299.

I am sure you can figure the math out so it does not break you. You obviously run a solid program so I am sure you can.
Statsremote is like 30.00 a month. If you are willing to take a 1.00 hit per sign up then obviously 30 sign ups would get you it for a month.

woj 03-20-2005 12:55 AM

How does giving out stats remote benefit the sponsor in any way?

it's a reward, just like giving an xbox or an ipod.

it encourages the affiliate to reach a certain amount of sales to earn to reward.

say an affiliate typically sends 15 sales a month to your program but the free statsremote subscription encourages him to send 20 sales a month instead... that's 5 extra sales per month in your pocket, plus potential rebills, cross sells, upsales, etc.

It is a better reward than say a fucking ipod or xbox.
It could have his affiliates stay somewhat loyal so they can keep their free subscription.
His program could really be that good that he wants to show them the stats at all times.

yeah I have in mind what I would give it for just seeing if I am going to give it out to low.. we retain really well so I was thinking 10 sales in a period gets you a month.. 20 gets you 3 months something like that.....

i think giving it on a month to month basis would work to your benefit. like lord of the fungi said, it'll encourage your affiliates to stay loyal in order to keep their membership.

Robatolla 03-20-2005 01:02 AM

an e-mail after a sale is nice, but on the other hand everyone is looking at thier stats like junkies lookin at their last crack rock anyhow.

Robatolla 03-20-2005 01:04 AM

I see what your saying... even if they use it for other affiliate programs they know which one pays for it so they tend to them first... good thinking guys

Stacey_JoinRightNow 03-20-2005 01:34 AM

im more convenient using the STATS page...i don't wanna get bothered everyday hearing NO news about my sales thru emails

Kevsh 03-20-2005 01:37 AM

I few of my sponsors do which I like. CCBill has the option to receive for their programs, the only problem is they don't say in the email which sponsor - only their account number. Not a big deal, but if you have 10+ CCBill sponsors and don't have a photographic memory ...
