If you consider how much it costs for a group of people to all fly first class, it's cheaper to charter a plane. If you don't believe me, try it.

I fly first class everytime I fly, I have also flown in a private jet, I know what it costs me to fly first class and I know what it costs to fly in a jet. The price is no where similar. A prop plane is cheap to charter, but a jet is not.

Have them give you a cookie next time ;-). I happen to be a pilot and it's cheaper to charter a plane.

Tell me about it. When I was there I had no clue about anything, I thought it was just a cool event. So there I was standing a big ass line, people everywhere, HOT, HOT, HOT! Bikers flying in the air, skateboards jumping up and down, I heard something was up, the crowd was loud. Then they went nuts. So I looked up on the big screen and saw a dude with a skateboard... cool, he skateboards... probably good too since people are nuts :1orglaugh

Then when I got home in the evening and put on the TV there was a recap of what had happened at X-Games and I saw what he had done, THEN I understood what had happened :1orglaugh :1orglaugh

They actually stopped giving cookies and milk before landing, not sure why, but I do miss it.

I don't know what kind of planes you pilot or know about chartering, but the hourly fuel cost on most private jets is more expensive than a round trip first class ticket to any destination.

I remember them replaying it for at least 2 weeks after it happened, and everytime I saw it it was just as amazing as when it first happened.

That is why I said if you have a group of people. Of course one ticket is cheaper -lol.

Sure if you are filling up a cabin full of other travelers and splitting the cost it can be comparable in price to fly privately... but other than that it's not.
