Why didnt you look into finding working months before you decided to move?

i was thinking the same thing...

why because I had this asshole for a fiance and he decided he didnt like my kids anymore and is going back to florida. I am going to be with my family but have to get there first. Ok, wuld be cool if you could shot a sample trailer.

I have lots of footage backed up that I don't have time to edit.

If I try to view those .wmv files in firefox I get a screen of code.
Why???

Doesn't happen all the time, some sites play movies a-ok with firefox

In IE the ones in the links files play fine.

Quick way to make those play is right-click save link as then open them in windows media player. Firefox is stupid about wmv when the apache server is not configured correctly, as it is here.

What needs to be done or checked at the server level??

Could be a good thing to double check.
Irritates me when it happens and I think it sheds a bad light on the website.

The default install for apache does not have the MIME type for WMV files set, so an incorrect type is sent to the browser. Firefox ignores extensions and only looks at the server supplied Content type, so it treats WMV files as text. Since I only just learned abut the problem, it hasn't been fixed yet.
