If you're trying to eat healthy you better drop the granola bars. Those are terrible for you.

You can go to almost any chinese spot these days and order from the spa menu. They may call it diet or healthy etc. It is steamed chicken or shrimp and steamed veggies with white rice. They give you a soy ginger sauce oon the side. Eat some but not all of the rice and fill up on the veggies and you will be fine :thumbsup

Chinese like any other menu just depends what you get. Fried anything isn't 'healthy' but in moderation, it's fine. Don't worry about each meal or even what you eat an entire day. What you eat over several days matters. If you over indulge one day, eat lighter for the days following. No food makes anyone instantly fat or thin for that matter.

Right, it depends on what you eat off the menu. That's until I found some roaches in my Mongolian Beef. And that was at a well known Chinese Restruant in the area. That incident kinda turned me off to any Chinese food for awhile. |

my friend temporarily lost his vision from chinese food. I guess he was driving and his vision went blank except for a small area he could see with. he had to pull over.
He said his eye doctor said its a reaction from msg and it would go away. it did. i think it was called a msg headache or msg migrane or something. |

The Chinese food you typically eat is NOT authentic Chinese food. If you ask for General Tso's or Sweet and Sour Soup in any part of Asia, they'll be puzzled. |

My sister and I are both health nuts and hit the Chinese buffet at least once a week. As F_F said you don't want to go for the fried won tons, eggrolls or the battered pieces of pork/shrimp/chicken/etc. but most "stir fry" dishes involve a minimal amount of oil. Go for the items with veggies and seafood (or slices of beef, chicken and pork, if you must, that aren't battered and fried). The rice and lo mein are low fat (but are carbs). Balance those with the dishes that have all the snow peas, waterchestnuts, broccolli, etc and any non-fried seafood the place offers and you are eating the healthiest you can do away from home :thumbsup |
Yes, very bad for you, but i eat it every other day. :(
sad. |
I was fishing out at the skyway bridge and some chineese dude asks me for my bait fish.
After giving him about 100 pin fish, grunts, and greenbacks the guy gives me his card (chineese resturant) and says If i stop in it's a free meal. He left directly after that so guess what the bait fish were for... |
you can eat anything but in moderation
