Yes. But the Dookie was the best!

usually i don't reply to any of your threads. but this one is an exception. that albumn is one of the best pieces of musical work i think i've ever heard. can't wait to see them live again next month.

Dookie kicked ass too :) I can't believe they used to play at Cloyne Hall coop back in the days I was going to UC. I never did get a chance to see them play during those days. How time flies...

Yes.. It's not exactly punk rock, but it's a damn fine piece to listen to.

I'll be seeing them again in a few weeks. :)

that album was almost never released.
they recorded the original album and then the master tapes got stolen & they just started over from scratch & recorded the new stuff.

I love that song "Jesus of Suburbia." A punk rock epic with shades of broadway musical. I love fifth part with the melody that borrows from Johnny Cash's "Ring of Fire." Good stuff all around.

they are going to be huge if they keep on producing albums like this, they are popular right now, but this album making them pretty much top mainstream.

thought they were finished like most of their contemporaries..one big album and out..but they actually have somethng to say.. politics sells..
