I got a letter stating I need to report to jury duty this thursday. I have never been might be pretty interesting if I get a good case. But the $15 they pay a day is a joke. Should I go or try and get out of it? I've never been so don't know what to expect. Who has been to jury duty and what to expect?

Yeah you should do it, it's boring but it's a duty and you'll feel better if you put someone in prison.

I believe it's also mandatory that you show up, too. Don't they issue bench warrants if you don't?

Odds are you will be sent home anyways.

I tried to get out of mine. They just let me reschedule.

It was the worst day of my life. I waited 8 hours in a courtroom while juror after juror was dismissed. It came to my turn and I had a conflict of interest in the case anyways.

Top it off with me being cranky, grumpy, the bathroom was out of order...It was a horrible day! Did I mention that I also never got paid?
