Free Love Movement in the 60s. Will there be another?
Who was there? Shemp? Was it really as easy as to get laid as they say?
Are we due for another movement like it in the near future? Something like that could push porn into the mainstream making it completely acceptable. Maybe? |
Yes, I was there. And, YES, it was as easy to get laid as you imagine.
However, NO, it won't happen again. Just like Woodstock II was a bust, it couldn't "be" like the first time. The nation, the time, the culture, the music, everything was "right" for that moment in time. It won't happen again. So, hone your skills, revamp your playbook and start figuring out how to get laid....without DYING! |

It just seems ripe now. You guys had Vietnam. We have Iraq and Osama. Porn and sexuality is in abundance on film, phone, and internet. But maybe economics is the key. Making money was easier in the 60's, money wasn't as tight so people were more free to do what they wanted in their leisure. Going to college to get a degree wasn't necessary. |
I hope so.

Wow - you have any idea how devastating that would be to the world if it were to happen? It never will, AIDS scare takes precenence over free love.
Or maybe I should say common sense. |

That's not fair |
Not without corporate sponsors

For the sake of accuracy, AIDS wasn't heard of in the 70's. In fact, in my former job as a health care worker I had occasion to look after the very first documented AIDS case in Manitoba. That was in 86-87. Sure there can be another decade of "free love".... as long as there are plenty of rubbers being used. Could call it the age of latex love. |
1. yes, i was
2. yes. it was 3. it wont happen again, at least not in this generation http://www.shemp.com/translove1.jpg |
