BOXING on HBO right now....

a fight from 2000 Barrera against Morales. Take a look at what Pacman has to deal with tomorrow night!

Morales will KO Pacman in the 10th round Sat. Night! :winkwink:

DavieVegas 03-18-2005 11:49 PM

I say it goes all 12 with no knockout..split decision morales

princess 03-18-2005 11:50 PM

I think it'll go all 12 as well

Strife 03-19-2005 12:41 AM

After watching Barrera vs. Morales 3. Morales ain't the same boxer he was back in 2000 :2 cents:

hyperdrive 03-19-2005 08:16 AM

Pacquiao did not prepare enough on this fight when he's still here in the Phils.. but still.. i'll go with him.. :)

TheSubmitter 03-19-2005 08:37 AM

109 E Morales +130
110 M Pacquiao -140

Pacquiao has a great odds, I think he will win on this fight. :)

And it will end on the 10th round..

theS2O 03-19-2005 10:10 AM

i'll go with pacman no matter what... :pimp

word on the boxing websites is that he's better prepared than he ever has been before. Also he's been training at the Wild Card Gym in Hollywood, he's not in the Phillipines this year.

If the fight goes less than 6 rounds it's Pac's night, if Erik can take him past that he'll win imho. Pac shoots his whole load as soon as the bell rings and Erik will have more in the late rounds, his straight right hand should be poison for a lefty. Erik isn't the fighter he was in 2000 but he's smarter and can still whack. Barrera had a bad night against the Pac Man and Marquez I think really beat him (I was there live, Pac had NO good moments after the first round). Pac's a great fighter and I like him a lot but imho he's not above the three Mexicans, he's just right there with them talent-wise.

Morales in 10.

That will change when the Mexican crowd hits the booths in Vegas this afternoon, I predict even odds by fight time.

i won't be too sure about Morales, he's not of the type of a boxer
who wants a street brawl on an early round. Manny is the next
pound per pound boxer.

Why? It was never a factor and only would have mattered if the fight had been stopped because of it. In the replay they clearly clashed heads, it wasn't a deliberate butt and Erik could have been cut from it just as easily.

Be proud of PAC!! He showed a ton of heart and determination. He had an excuse to quit and didn't take it and he fought as hard as he could for as long as he could. He just ran into a great fighter tonight who wanted it a little bit more.

I think we have four of the greatest featherweights who ever lived fighting each other right now. I wouldn't pick Sal Sanchez over Barrera and I wouldn't take Saddler over Morales. This is a GREAT time for boxing fans. I'm wishing now I would have went to the fight even if I had to sit in the cheap seats just so I can say I was there.

VIVA MEXICO!!!

VIVA MORALES!!!

did pac get knocked out?

No. All three judges scored it 115-113. Morales was in trouble a bit in the 12th though mostly from his own doing....going southpaw was crazy

just saw the delayed telecast.. well.. you're right.. guess i just don't like to believe that Pacman lost.. he's the only Filipino boxer remaining to be on top.. one has lost his power (Luisito Espinosa).. and the other one decided to be a comedy actor (Onyok Velasco)..

and yes.. im still proud of Pacquiao! :thumbsup

Manny did his best, that's all we can expect of anyone. It was a good match.

Pacman will be back.

Mabuhay ang Pinoy!

SetTheWorldonFire 03-19-2005 11:48 PM

I knew it was gonna be a good fight, morales does'nt quit.

morales was the underdog. everyone knew about pacman but pacman underestimated him. that's why he lost.

The toe to toe battle is always a great one. :thumbsup

Stacey_JoinRightNow 03-20-2005 12:40 AM

the was one hell of a running blood...but still manny KEEPs going...
thou it was really hard to watch, PACMAN still show the courage :)

love yah PACMAN :)

I was watching the post-match interview with Manny Pacquiao and one thing he said really struck home with me "As long as there's strength in my body, I will not let the Philippines--our nation--be embarassed." That is fucking heart. Morales won. But Pacquiao wasn't knocked down and he kept coming back, again and again and again. This was a great fight because it showcased the Filipino fighting spirit. Whether its boxing, or working as OFW it shows Filipino heart. Di matatalo. Di susuko. Bayani ka Manny!

Pornwolf 03-20-2005 01:47 AM

i second that $5...as per manny in the post-match interview, he was not embarrased at all...what he's fighting for is not for anything else but for the FILIPINO people, he's indeed a very brave, very family man, he has the HEART that keeps him going, he has this passion for his people. he knew that when he'll came back...FILIPINOs will still shout for his victory...

you manny is indeed OUR hero...love yah :)
