Hi,

We are looking for a reliable host, good bandwidth, friendly staff, ... Would be nice if you could write a line or two about yourself, your company, location, data center, services, speed in US and to Europe, etc.!

So far we need:
- 2U rack space
- 1Mbit bandwidth, but it would be good if it's not limited and we can simply pay for any overage. So please also quote for overage and maybe prices for 5Mbit, 10, 20, ... since we hope to expand pretty quickly
- Some maintenace, putting servers in the rack, in case there are hardware problems, and so on. Does this cost extra? Do you have equipment in stock?
- Do you have 24/7 customer support? Online reboot-services?
- Do your tech guys know FreeBSD?

I'm using their service for a rather long time. Actually I've tried more than 10 other hosting companies till I found 3fn (you my check the whois recoreds for my sites such as fhgstore.com - you'll see they are hosted at 3fn) :thumbsup

Have you considered leasing instead? Colo quotes are often more expensive than a leased server, which on the face of it defies logic.

I've got a 2 year old 1RU colocated server sitting in a rack where the IP block has been derouted - it is up but it's effectively muted. It doesn't cost me anything to have it there, but moving it to somewhere that is connected (ie another host) is basically pointless, because it's likely to cost more than leasing a newer and better server.
