If you think humans developed through natural selection....

...think again. Leonardo Da Vinci's Vitruvian man proves that man is constructed accourding to elegant geometrical principles that could not have developed by chance. An example: if you hold your arms out horizontally, the span is the same as your height, forming a square. If you draw a cricle through the tips of your finger and your feet, it has precisely the same area of the square. This shows that the number pi is incorporated into our proportions.

Amazing, but why does my cock curve to the left?

MrJackMeHoff 03-18-2005 02:25 PM

We measured my arms and Its not the same.. Oh well so much for that.

I call bullshit. Not every person is proportional. Even our faces are asymmetrical.

PHI = the devine proportion

since when did nature ever develop anything 'by chance'

lol

besides, i think aliens engineered us

I hope they gave us a soul... it would suck to cease to exist after we die! :(

rambler 03-18-2005 02:40 PM

PHI (1.618...) is incorporated in almost everything from moleculer structure to galaxies

This is true... it works with nearly everything. It's really fascinating.

its not incorporated.

whatif_3 03-18-2005 02:45 PM

just read davinci code?

but what does one have to do with the other? maybe natural selection was responsible for the circular proportion of man, because that was what nature decided was the best fit for man

strats 03-18-2005 02:46 PM

theres 2 types of people on earth.. actually 3, alien hybrids, normal people and insect *coughspring

but did you draw a cricle through the tips of your finger and your feet, it has precisely the same area of the square? might still hold true?

spentrent 03-18-2005 03:05 PM

PHI fie fo fum.

Phoenix 03-18-2005 03:14 PM

yes we can make up many numbers to fit occurences

e ^ ipi plus one equals zero

all made up numbers

aliens planted us here

thats not true. i was watching a show about this where a plastic surgeon created templates for rebuilding faces and he was pointing out similar spacial and geometrical relationships in our bodies. ... the issue is not that every person conforms to them 100%, but that they are more often correct than not.

for example the relationship in your finger knuckles is the same as the hand/forearm/upper, foot, lower leg, upper leg and so on and so on... in terms or proportion

Fake Nick 03-18-2005 03:31 PM

not true

TheLegacy 03-18-2005 03:40 PM

amazing that God doesnt have to prove himself to anyone - its the other way around

use the vegas odds - can you not afford to believe in an afterlife - hell / heaven??

even if there is a 1% chance of eternal hell burning and torture - 90 years of believing in a God is still worth while

But your not truly believing in anything if your only believeing in case its true.. You'll burn anyway according to the book..

Who owns the patent on that? Better not let Acacia find out ...

Explicit 03-20-2005 01:55 AM

......i didnt mean to post here, oops. its all about gravity and pressure over time. thats the root anyway..

bbe 03-20-2005 03:48 AM

You'd make a better case with our cornea's then proportions of limbs. Of you could just post a pic of Shaq, Bruce Lee and Pamela Anderson and ask people if they thought they all came from the same monkey :)

BRISK 03-20-2005 03:56 AM

Mmmmm......Pi
