When you first enter you will notice a pop-up, which then loads a 2nd pop-up...this is the interesting one.

This pop-up loads a Window which sits in your task bar & calls itself "Microsoft Outlook - Inbox"

Then every 10 seconds or so that loads another window....there is no way to close this window (except for cntrl+alt+del)

You can get rid of those outlook inbox things. You can't right click. But what I do is,

I open a new browser window. I select that empty window and also the unclickable windows. The right click and select close.

You have to show some restraint. Popping a million consoles just makes people afraid to visit adult sites. And just because someone didn't spend money today, it doesn't mean they won't tomorrow.

FTC is not a big fan of over agressive consoles.

As far as showing restraint, fuck that. EVERY sales job I've ever had, and that's what this job is, we would never let a customer leave until we had used EVERY means at our disposal to try and make a sale, because the odds are greatly against them leaving and then coming back later, no matter how you treated them when they were there the first time. And this was true no matter what the company I worked for or what product we were selling.
If a surfer leaves the tour, its because they didn't want what you were selling, so you keep popping different options at them to hopefully give them something they will buy.

The only time you've ever read about the FTC and mousetraps is when someone uses a mispell of disney, or cartoon network, or nickelodeon etc and then pops porn consoles on you.
And even then, the suits brought by the FTC had nothing to do with the consoles, but were brought because someone used disneyy.com (etc) to promote porn, and they were looking out for children. The mousetrap/console thing was something added to the article by the journalist to add to the disdain people felt towards the person who did this, but NONE of the FTC's filings had anything to do with consoles.
Hell, I can't even go check the sports scores without having yet another X10 camera ad popped in my face.
