need some help with KVM Switches
Well i'm running out of space in this room, and i was wondering if anybody knows anything about KVM switches? I want to hook up 4 computers to one monitor,keyboard,mouse- yet there are so many brands to choose from on the net, any recommendations? what kind of specs do i need to look for for a quality switch?

I currently have 6 pc's in this room and i'm using 1 monitor, keyboard, and mouse for 4 of them using the KVM switch from http://www.startech.com/
By far I find these to be the best, they allow of changing of pcs by pushing the alt key twice followed by the # which is the number of the PC. You can also do it manually by pushing the buttons on the switch itself. Prices goes up as features increase they have a few with On screen displays etc.. This is the one I have http://www.startech.com/ststore/item...oduct_id=SV431 It does te job. Abby [This message has been edited by NOTR (edited 12-16-2001).] |
