i had it installed it on two systems. one broke completely down and i had to reinstall windows. on the other system, everything went fine.
if your computer runs stable, i wouldn't install it. |
what do you hope to gain by installing SP2?
You have to uninstall service pack 1 first.
It gave me a lot of trouble when I installed it on my first PC, I waited a few months before tempting it on my other 2 PC's, and when I did install it, it went through without any glitch :)
man... i remember when i installed it when it first came out. my pc couldn't start. once it passed the main windows screen it would just reboot. this was a known issue for amd 64 bit processors. anyone know if they fixed this issue yet?
damn,,,,,,, I wont install this shit....
i did it last week bro, not one single problem with it
If you don't like it, just uninstall it :)
It worked on most of the computers I've installed it on... Didn't work on the GF's laptop.. made her crash occasionally.. so we uninstalled it, and her laptop is fine again.. |

All 3 of my systems are AMD 64 running sp2 No problems here. Actualy seams more stable than sp1. Runs nice and fast. I would do a clean install if you are installing sp2. I as well as others I know who have tried the upgrade have had their pc's crash and were forced to do a format. So be sure to backup your files if you are going to do the ugprade thing. |
no reports of any crash after updating more than 30 workstations here
