Microsoft "smart tag" stealing our traffic??
 

just read this article. has me a bit concerned. wondering what you guys think of it? I dunno how old the article is, and ive never heard of this "smart tag" from microsoft...does anyone know if this is old news, or new stuff? The article sais there is a way to prevent it from working, just wondering if i should be using it or not? should we be concerned about this smart tage shit? http://www.setgo.com/press/0905wenchy.html

yeah... we've already been through the whole Smart Tag Episode. You can disable it with a meta tag.

ok, so let me ask you guys this....since were all running porn sites, do we have anything to worry about? I mean all the words on our sites are words such as "fuck" "ass" "whores" ETC
microsoft is prolly not gonna target those keywords, so we are okay, right?

MSsmarttags are not the only ones..
There is also scumware...
such as toptext & Gator uses it too,,

Not the same mechanism, unfortunately, since there's no meta to wipe those parasites out.

You can use an activeX to redirect..
There's an extension for this at macromedia for dreamweaver users..
