I'm telling you for the last time: The best browser ever is.....

....... K-Meleon

It has a few minor bugs, but nothing comes even close to that browser, forget about Firefox, Maxthon, Crazy Browser, IE, Opera etc

So do yourselves a favour and get it from
HERE

Young 03-17-2005 05:09 PM

downloading now :)

Platinumpimp 03-17-2005 05:12 PM

What kind of bugs we talking about?

Young 03-17-2005 05:21 PM

Wow this is fucking quick...tabbed browsing too. I'm in love.

Firefox is a bitch on system resources and doesn't let up even after you close the tabs. I found a replacement.

Thanks! :thumbsup

On a very few pages you can not select and copy text for some reason.
Also when you have more than one window open, on the task bar sometimes they swap positions.

So I'm talking very minor bugs, I've been using it for years, and this is the only browser that comes close to perfection ;)

Yup.

EXTREMELY fast, and it's uses very little resources, if you can work comfortably with 30 Firefox tabs on your machine, you'll be able to open 100 K-Meleon tabs with no problem;)

Young 03-17-2005 05:28 PM

you can fucking zoom into images right in the browser window? WOW

and a continuos reloader with a timer?????? :warning :warning :warning :warning

Looks like its a standalone app and for the features: threre arent any.. not many so to say..

Is there any way i can enlarge the forward / back / stop icons?

They are a bitch that small.. other than this seem like love at first sight!

sub edit: tab order (as im trying to tab to submit) seems to be different/not working)

You don't need 'back' and 'forward' buttons, you can use mouse gestures, just hold down the right mouse button and scroll a bit on the left --> that's your back button, do that with scrolling on the right, that's your forward button. Scroll up and down while holding the right mouse button, that's your 'refresh' button ;)

You have absolutely nothing to worry about, it's at least as secure as Firefox. It's also less known, therefore not likely to be targeted by shitware programs.

Spunky 03-17-2005 05:55 PM

Checking it out..I need a better replacement after Firefox

Holy Shit! :1orglaugh

right click > upward movement takes you to the root of the domain, crazy

Radical Rick 03-17-2005 05:58 PM

Alt + S brings up an SE submenu. Click one and a prompt opens to search that SE for something. Amazing.

haha
I didn't know that.

It's also the best browser to surf GFY, just hold down the Ctrl key and right click the threads (urls) you want to read - it opens them in new tabs in the background. After that just use Ctrl + TAB to check them out ;)

if you have a track wheel or a third mouse button just use that instead. Click the third mouse button over the link and VOILA!! thats how i did it in Firefox and it seems to work the same way here.

Violetta 03-17-2005 06:05 PM

I like Opera! And I will stick to it

Spunky 03-17-2005 06:06 PM

Seems pretty cool so far :thumbsup

chaze 03-17-2005 06:06 PM

Wow, thanks for the link.

This thing is near perfect.

mrthumbs 03-17-2005 06:11 PM

Not sure 100% but I think the only difference b/n Favorites and Bookmarks is that you can use Favorites to import your IE Favorites, and Bookmarks to import your Favorites from another browser (Netscape may be) or something of the sort.......

You can also use the same trick that Firefox users use to speed the browser up, and it becomes even faster, that 'pipeline' thingy....

As for the avantbrowser, can't remember trying it, although the name sounds familiar. I'll download it and see how it compares, I'm always open for suggestions ;)

woj 03-18-2005 05:30 PM

I downloaded it to check it out, but I'm not that impressed. If it's faster, it's only barely faster than properly configured firefox.

Manowar 03-18-2005 05:44 PM

checking it out as we speak

pornguy 03-18-2005 06:50 PM

I just started using FF a few months ago. Maybe later I will switch. But FF is doing fine for me.
