dantheman posted it was a completely different issue, so I want to be clear is all. |
Here is a partial paste of what Danny said the other day:
"There was a packet storm created by a breakdown in the spanning tree algorithm in our Ethernet switches. We are monitoring the network closely to determine if this was a result of malicious activity, or just an abnormal occurrence." Is this what you were told but you thought a tree branch took out a powerline or something? |

I almost went with m3server a few years ago....glad I didn't now.
I didn't like the idea that the main pipe into their building was from bellsouth.net That just seemed funny to me. Power outtage sounds like a bullshit answer to me....data centers are supposed to have backup generators that can run for 24+ hours, and the wires into the building should be underground. |
up and down from here. Canada.

It's working here now, although slow... Don't really know what to do, it's a lot of work to move everything to another server... Would help if someone from M3 contacted it's customers (they do have our emails after all...) and explained the situation.

pretty easy then if they dont want to answer they dont want my biz |

Anna, when you change hosts you get the new host to move all of your shit....you shouldn't have to do it yourself. |
you need to go with a real awesome host like phatservers
|
Lol same old story they been having power issues for years! Everytime they go down it's something to do with power. That's the least thing you all should be concerned with ... afterall isn't ALABAMA one of those states where the community standard does NOT allow porn?
|
All data centers should have backup generators that can run for a longggggg time.
Like someone else said, if you change hosts the new host should move everything for you. Good luck! |
If you decide to look for a new host contact Brad at mojohost.com and see what they can do for you.
|
I moved from M3 to www.splitinfinity.com after M3 dishonored my hosting package and upped the prices on me considerably.
Travis actually emailed my saying that he was going to cancel my hosting with them because I was using the full allotment of bandwidth that I was paying for in my original deal... Thank god I moved from them after that... Chris from Splitinfinity will move you over with no downtime and they are super super fast servers... :thumbsup |
