Domain Prices Are Really Moving Up

Last week, BBGuns.com sold for $40k, ScienceFairProjects.com sold for $44,600, With.co.uk sold for $33,000, Jimmy.com sold for $15,500, and the big one Local.com sold for $700,000.

Very nice to see this continued upward trend.

Dirty F 03-17-2005 12:57 AM

I was amazed to see some of the prices of recent domain sales. Insane if youd ask me.

Illicit 03-17-2005 01:00 AM

maybe its time to liquidate my collection

Sorry but milf-sex.info is still worthless.

paxton 03-17-2005 01:03 AM

Yes 2005 is huge so far. I see DomBuyer once again made the top of the weekly DNJournal Sales Report. Good job, DB. :thumbsup

There has also been some high profile - and high ticket price - sales of non dot coms in 2005. With the future projections of increased internet users around the globe, and the fact that more businesses and individuals are figuring out how important the right domain is, I can only see the upward trend continuing.

:)

You'd have to work at it, I think.

pradaboy 03-17-2005 04:23 AM

why did Free-Games.to go for $55,000??? Hardly worth a tenth of that IMO.

Good to see domainsales on the rise though :thumbsup

realed 03-17-2005 04:25 AM

the market is booming at the moment... certainly a good time to be involved :-)

Naughty 03-17-2005 05:16 AM

The thing is, i most likely wouldnt have picked that domain up for 7 bucks if i bumped into it.

Dirty F 03-17-2005 05:28 AM

No, i dont believe it...it has to be a joke :/

rebel23 03-17-2005 05:54 AM

that one didnt go for the price because of the name, I believe it was an established site w/ traffic but DNJournal decided to include it

rebel23 03-17-2005 05:56 AM

or maybe im wrong

Rui 03-17-2005 06:41 AM

well that would make more sense but then again it doesn't belong on DNJ. Awkward :disgust

Kemist 03-17-2005 06:53 AM

What do people think of the domain pixelresolution.com? Thought it was a good buy.

Things are definitely looking up. Hopefully, mainstream net companies have learned from the excesses of the past Dot com bubble.

Actually a few weeks ago my firends 12 year old step daughter was asking about websites about science fair projects, and she actually typed in ScienceFairProjects.com of course she didn't find what she was looking for.
