Prove it. You would be the first person ever to bring proof to the table. That would be awesome.

PHPdude 03-17-2005 01:05 AM

quite frankly I don't believe in such

Zebra 03-17-2005 01:19 AM

OK.. I have no stance on supernatural, ESP, mind control, alien abductions, Bigfoot, or Voodoo... but I have had something weird happen to me before. Something that involved Madonna.
In the summer of 1985 Madonna's Into the Groove was busting out onto radio. For several weeks that summer I was able to know when the song was going to be coming on the radio. It didn't matter if the radio was on or not, I could go to it when I knew it was time and it would be starting as soon as I turned the radio on. I told my sisters about it and they didn't believe me, but after I had accurately predicted the song coming on a few dozen times without fail they started to believe me. It kinda freaked me out at first but after a while I got tired of the song and being able to know when it was coming on. I would be in the middle of playing Nintendo and would get the urge to go turn the radio on to listen to Into the Groove. Over the summer it started to fade and by the time school started it was gone. I don't think I had that feeling again until a couple years ago when I was in the car listening to a classic rock station and I had the urge to switch to a pop station. Sure enough, they were doing an 80's day and Into the Groove started several seconds later. Luckily it hasn't happened again since then.

Not sure if it was something beyond normal or just an extreme set of coincedences. I also seem to look at the clock a lot when it is 11:11. I know I went for a full week once seeing 11:11 twice every day. Could it be the subconcious keeping time and telling me to look at the clock around that time? Could it be something else?

I don't know the answers, but I do know it happened and it was not something normal.

Thank you for visiting the Twilight Zone.

The supernatural does not exist.

Get over it.

I predict the bootyologist, aka m00d, will make more useless posts and threads.

One day when I was about 10 years old I had a feeling that something bad happened to my grandfather. I kept worrying about it. Later in the day, the phone rang. It wasn't my grandfather. It also turns out that nothing bad happened to my grandfather that day.

Homer 03-17-2005 10:15 AM

yes, I don't know why :1orglaugh

spideriux 03-17-2005 05:03 PM

It's only western science paradygmat that force you to look at the things in such super-rational way....
Of course, such things could be also probably explained by science in the future, but now we are too dumb to do it :).

spentrent 03-18-2005 09:07 AM

It has been shown that different "mental states" cause the human brain to emit specific frequencies, such as calmness, intense focus, apathy, etc.

It may be a longshot, but I think it's plausible that some people might be capable of observing such frequencies in a manner we do not yet understand.

Also, I switched to an 80s Shoutcast to see if Into The Groove was playing.

Sadly, it was not. BUT, the boobs in your sig were bouncing precisely to the beat of Kool and the Gang's Celebration.

Who put acid in my coffee this morning?
