Need script suggestions for TGP.
 

Everyone is using Comus thumbs, even with different templates it all pretty much looks the same.

can anyone suggest any other scripts besides Comus and Brownie? Text link scripts are ok too (which obviously wouldn't be a TGP technically but..)

WHAT? If you were to look at things in an "old school" way, thumb preview sites are just circle jerk sites, and text sites are the real deal.

Comus can do text, but if you want to do text, I would go with Brownie, X-Scripts Pro, or maybe even AG SQL. From what I hear Adult Devil stopped selling scripts, which is a shame, because he made some real good ones.

For thumbs, Comus, TManager, TurboThumbs and Thumbs Rotator all seem to be very good.

But the best script will be a custom one built to your specs.

Old School is a perfect description of what I am looking for. Any particular programmer you want to refer me to?

I can't recommend any one pregrammer, because we locked up my favorite guy to an in-house deal.

Depending on your budget, I would go with either Brownie, X-Pro, or AG SQL. I can run text sites with either simple single columns, or multiple columns/rows out the wazzoo with any of these. And I have used all of them for extended periods of time. They each have a lot going for them.

If you're going "fake" tgp (not taking submissions and only using your own / hosted galleries) check out sig for Gallery Admin. Can be used for unlimited sites / domains on the same server, can also be used to rotate links, 404 traffic, whatever...
