Damn! Great blog by AaronM on Kblogger!

AaronM has written a most excellent blog over on kblogger that deals with many aspects of finding and hiring models!

As a program owner, I shoot a lot of my own content and I can tell you from experience that finding good models isn't always a walk in the park, so it's great to read the experiences and tips from quality shooters like Aaron.

Here's a small taste of Aarons blog entry...
Model Recruiting 101

When it comes to recruiting models, there are several way to go about it. I?ve tried a lot of them over the years but NOTHING beats experience. What I mean by this is that if at first you don?t succeed, try and try again. The more you get turned down, the more you learn how to read people and more importantly, you learn how to interact with potential models. Although there is a lot of truth to the phrase: ?It?s not what you say but how you say it.? At times, the most important factor can be what you don?t say at all.

I?m going to list a few different recruiting methods and break down the various ups and down of each one based on my experiences over the years.
The rest is here:

Check it out, it's well worth the read! Great Job Aaron :thumbsup

" If at first you dont suck seed, keep on suckin til you do suck seed ! "

Very nicely written, Aaron. It's nice to see these kinds of articles available so some people can possibly appreciate how involved a process it can be to get talent.

I just finished Donovan's blog, it's a good one too. In fact, all of the blog entries on kblogger make for great reading.

I have a great deal of respect for both Donovan and Aaron...I consider it quite a coup that both agreed to blog for kblogger.com....although, I did have to promise Aaron some of Tev's man love ....not sure what Donovan is going to command.

Wow. Great job Aaron. That was an awesome read. I've been doing this since 1997, and I still got a couple tidbits out of it.

The only thing I can add to it, is if you have a female partner (which I do) then apply everything Aaron just said, except you don't do any of it... let your partner have all contact with models until it's time to shot. I don't approach 'em, talk to 'em on the phone. Nothing. Then it's easy for me to be good cop, and Lori get's to be bad cop, and keep the shoots moving along during outfit changes.

aaron has perfected the art of balancing the karma of 'asshole' with 'helpful non-asshole'.

i still am trying to achieve such balance.

And to think...Not long ago you hated me.....Probably still do but at least you are starting to see that there is more to me than just the guy you see fucking around on GFY and posting pics of shooting his guns. :winkwink:

Not much of a shock really... anyone who knows Aaron knows that he is more than capable of this stuff. He just never had the time to do it before, and still doesn't. I guess that's the part that shocks me :winkwink:
