Well I don't know what part, I prefer to not book hotels in advance. Looks like the Ritz Carlton is in a nice area??

Stay in the Copley area. Green Line Trolley will connect you to everything you need. Take them to the Gardens (not the stadium) and the Frog Pond (ice skating). Follow the Freedom Trail which leads you through Fanueil Hall and through the Commons and Gardens. It also leads you past all the historic buildings. Definately take them on the Duck Tour. Make a stop at the Museum of Science. If you really felt the need to take them to the Aquarium.

oh and as far as snow goes. We are getting some Friday night.

Awesome thanks, what hotel area do you recomend? Weather.com is predicting snow there Sunday and monday. Aren't there some ski resorts nearby? I was thinking of getting a rental car and driving up to one. Would love to rent a snow mobile

JFPdude 03-16-2005 05:47 PM

Westin Copley is a really nice hotel and it is connected to Copley Place Mall. Which is a really high-end upscale mall (louis vutton, boss, pink, saks etc.). Copley Place Mall also connects to the Prudential Center which is the second tallest building in Boston. Dinner on the top floor of the Prudential at "Top of the Hub" is awesome. The Green Line trolley is right across the street from the hotel and Newbury st is a short walk away....so is Fenway.

As far as ski resorts go there are a couple in MA but I wouldn't really recommend any. If you really want to go skiing take the 45 min trip up to NH and you'll find some good ones.

All depends on what kind of time you want to have.

With kids Young's suggestion of Copley is a good one. That way you can always walk around and kill time.

It?s in the Back Bay and close to everything. If the weather isn't too bad you can go take a walk in the park. Also frog pond is a nice place to visit. It?s an outdoor skating rink. The aquarium is great. Also Quincy market and fanieul hall.

For dinner checkout grill 23 for steaks.

No. 9 park is great too.

Great Bay for seafood

Thats my :2 cents:

Bahhhhhh !!!!

For once I disagree with Shuki ... Drive to the end of the lynn nahant causeway for the best seafood ... on the nahant side.

Of course there is always the ballard in saugus :thumbsup

shuki 03-16-2005 06:39 PM

What about Kelly's

Thats something we both can agree on.

They have the best lobster roll I have had anywhere :thumbsup

We've got like 4 days. Like I said the main thing is for us to see snow. If I have to drive a couple hours that is fine. I will have three 12 year old girls with me, so they will want to shop and girly stuff like that. But the main goal is to ride a snow mobile one of the days we are there. One of my daughters has a cast on her foot, so that is why we are not going to the beach for spring break. And no sense going to a ski resort either. But we can snow mobile and hop around the city some.

shuki 03-16-2005 06:52 PM

To be honest I am not sure about snow mobiles in MA. I would guess you would have a better chance in vermont, NH or Maine.

I would call a few local mountains and ask them for a suggestion too.

Definately go to the Back Bay, especially Newbury Street, nice stores, restaraunts. If you want a nice place, where they play jazz music and you can pretty much see the whole city at night, check out Top of the Hub at Prudential building. As for clubs, the best ones are Avalon, Roxy, The Saint.

Rorschach 03-16-2005 07:21 PM
