Are you using Trillian or just ICQ alone?

Trillian won't work until you upgrade and then update it... if you're on 3.0, upgrade to 3.1 and grab the aol/icq update.

If you're on icq itself and it doesn't work, it may need an upgrade as well, but should be ok.

I've tried all ...just ICQ ..then trillian with updates then original trillian ..then just 3.0 trillian ... is there a 5.0 ..i think someone said ?... maybe i need that one ...but even the reg ICQ was a no ..

Sometimes I have to start ICQ with ICQ 5 Which is a Lite version
then there is a place to switch to ICQ pro, that usually lets my ICQ pro start up....

hmm i just restarted trillian (pro 3) and i said i have to update my AIM and ICQ plugins. downloaded 400kb and everything was working again...

if you use trillian 3.0, you have to do the upgrade withint the program and not from somewhere you download....let it upgrade it self through the preference control panel

I had this same problem at home and at the office yesterday. I had to close Trillian completely, then when I reopened, it did the auto-update check and I just had to follow instructions to update, and it was fixed.
