How to capture a still img from mpeg?
How do I capture a jpg from an mpeg for my movie galleries?
Spider |
xing player will do that and even export it
as a .bmp with the same file name as the video. http://www.xingtech.com/ The latest version of thumbsplus will do it too. |
|
I downloaded from xingtech.com but didn't restart my pc yet. do you have any idea how long will the trial work?
I can't belive that some sponsors give free mpegs content without giving the thumbs... Spider |
Dunno about the trial but the program is like
9 bucks to purchase. If it works for ya then why not ? The encoder does nice mp3's but sucks for mpeg encoding. |
vcdcutter from www.seller-club.com/~vcdcut/index.htm works pretty well, it's shareware and lets you take snapshots or cut up into smaller mpgs.

Yes indeed, if it's only 9 bucks that's cool.
Ill also check that seller club download. Spider |
Easiest way is to just press the "Print Scrn" button on your keyboard.
Load up any image editor and then Paste ;) Also I think there's a pretty tight freeware movie editor "VirtualDub.exe" -- I don't have the URL on me. |
yep, virtualdub is awsome. Works great, and has two screens for you so you can take 2 different screenshots of the same movie in one instance http://www.virtualdub.com/
You can actually take a screen shot of the video by pressing "print screen", BUT, alot of times, for some odd reason, that doeesnt work, so if you wnana save some time, just get a prohgram. i think VD is still free, but im not sure. I got it a while ago |
