Have you noticed that is someone is prick on message boards, they are pricks in real life. Not as over the top of course but deep down that is who they are. Most people can hold it together in a public place like a convention when you are saying hi etc. But get them into a longer term deal where you really get to know them and it comes out. I have always found this to be true.

I know from some of the personae on this board I would never do business with them, regardless of what they could offer. I'm surprised they remain successful despite their apparent lack of class or any ounce of kindness toward another.

I noticed that years ago when I started using live video chat on my websites. In addition the assholes usually never show their face when confronted with the possibility of a meeting. We had parties all the time for our chat rooms and website. The nicer people showed and had a good time. The losers never came

I will not go out of my way to be a prick, and I remain professional as far as the business end. However, I think I am the same as most of us. I wouldn't want to be someone in my crosshairs if you go that extra mile to piss me off.

Normally, even with members, I will try and stick to the 'customer's always right' approach, but if you start spamming the my/messageboards, sending me a ton of assinine crap, or keep showing up again and again on my radar, eventually you will be asking to be 'sniped'.

I agree. As much as people like to think what they post is a "board persona", the actions and personality come from SOMEWHERE. There may be some posts that are "created" by someone but if you post a lot, your personality will come through. I've yet to meet someone who was one way on the board and another in person.
