1 company is completely ripping me off.

This company was habitually late in making payments on completed order..in some cases over 30 days...not once in a year did they ever pay on time.

I'm so fucking sick of the people in this biz.
There are only a few left I have respect for.
This company and it's continuous slow paying and a few other companies ripping us off forced me and my guys to have to alter our lives drastically.

Man just bring it yourself. When Photogregg was talking about how he couldn't pay people due to companies screwing him around, he wouldn't mention them either. If they're not paying you, they're not paying you.

You're not gonna scare any company into bringing this to the boards because they know that you're too scared yourself to even mention who they are so this whole attempt of yours will be futile. You'll get no money AND you're too scared to say who they are.

I don't need money from these people...I've been paid. This is a whole seperate issue and they know exactly what it's about.

its not like you arent doing the work, its not like your work isnt considered some of the best (thats from me personally, ofcourse others will say other things, but from my standing you do great fucking work) its not like you dont meet the deadlines, i dont understand wtf the problem is as far as payment goes

if you cant afford to pay a guy for a job, why contract him for the job in the 1st place?

I am not sure what the issue is but make a reasonable demand of payment and then go to boards if that demand is not met. This sort of takes the emotion out of it.

if im getting this right you did a job for someone that contacted you to have it done, contracted you to do it, you did it and now you are forced to take it here due to lack of payment on there end.

if im correct in thinking this, why would your rep ever be at stake? id say the companys might have a possible issue, but fuck, you are just lookin for paid on a job you did. everyone can related to that lol.

Well I'm referring to the rep of being a drama queen on the boards...never really got into that much.

Everybody here knows your work. They know you don't do shit work. And yes from time to time most of us is late with a payment. Hell I had some work done last week ... the designer finished up for me the order and I had my wife install the banner on a site. The next day I though to myself fuck I didn't pay for the banner. But the designer knew me and wasn't worried I guess because he didn't mention anything. However I made sure he was paid right then and there.

To many people take advantage of the little guys in this business. Everyone suggests you, tootie, fletch etc for work. But look at tootie man she works her butt off trying to get ahead becuase she is fucked everytime she turns around too.

Time to start outing these people.

Fuck them ... pay up or get outed.

If you lose them as a customer ... so what fuckem ... you have many other people waiting to take their place in your customer list.

Shame you haven't the balls to out these guys. Outing them will stop others getting ripped in the future. WHEN that happens, screwed webmasters will be asking you why you didn't out them at the earliest - That is when you may start losing your rep...

Well, if they have no problem in not paying you, then I guess they'd have no problem in not paying me. That's not good.

Paying the designers is like a second thought in this biz. It's like, they want the work and they want it yesterday, but when it comes time to pay for the services you gave them, it's like pulling fucking teeth. You have to keep hitting them up and it's always, "oh I sent that to payroll...it should be payed today" or "oh yeah I meant to send that yesterday" or "I didn't already pay you?" lol. There have been very few clients I have worked with in this biz so far that haven't been a complete ass when it comes to payment. You all know who you are and thank you.

Hope things workout Cary. I think in my heart that you are one of the goodguys in this biz and I hate to see one of the goodguys get fucked over...

Actually this is not about not getting paid, it's about someone who placed an order way back in june of last year, payed a deposit and neglected to supply content (if I remember correctly) or even inquire about the status of the order until late last month.

This same program was routinely extremely lax regarding any sort of timely communication and though they always paid in full eventually, they were extremely slow in getting it done.

A certain individual from this program has threatened to "do whatever it takes to recoup losses for services not rendered".

Personally I've about had my fill of the "Adult Business" since people can neither act like adults nor conduct business in a reasonable manner.

Actually to recap this Thomas...we did fill the order when content was supplied..the threat was over $60 worth of work left over out of one of the only deposits I ever made them pay that last June.
And dear God after months of always paying late *and at times 30+ days* I regret not making them pay deposits more often...but I never chastised them...I never threatened them..they eventually would always make good on their payments.
And then they go and threaten me.
Fuck them.

I know this sounds confusing for some..but the program has various individuals working for them who put in orders.
The one individual who put in this particular order and the one who threatened me are two different people.
He put in this one order in June...while someone else put in their more regular orders for the main sites in the program.
And jeez after 6 months + it got kind of confusing as to what was the status of this order because it would be brought up on occassion but nothing would ever seem to progress from there.
