Italy to pull troops from iraq
 

Italy will begin to withdraw its forces from Iraq in six months' time, the Italian prime minister, Silvio Berlusconi, said last night, accelerating the exodus of America and Britain's military allies.

Mr Berlusconi said he had been in contact with the British government and hinted that British forces could also begin to be reduced after the summer.

"I have spoken about it with Tony Blair. We need to construct a precise exit strategy. Public opinion expects this and we'll discuss this soon," he said..........

Will it honestly ever end?

My favorite part of that is "Public opinion expects this and we'll discuss this soon". I want leaders in our Gov't that feel this way.

Is there a single American who doesn't think that the American Gov't should be constructing our own exit strategy?

Forget about if the war was good or bad - just think about "When will the war be over for Americans?"

The Italian PM gives an answer to his constituents, is it too much to ask to get one from the Bush administration to us?

And, in 10 years, when Iraq is a shithole again, everybody'll blame the US for not staying in there long enough :)
